This is TWO!

Our baby Lucas turned two and it was a very special birthday. It was not only his golden birthday but also this year it was palindrome day, meaning 02/02/2020 reads the same, forward and backward. It’s the only one of its kind this century. The previous eight-digit palindrome like this was 11/11/1111, 909 years ago. We’ll only have to wait another 101 years for 12/12/2121. Isn’t that cool?!

I had already decided not to have a big party like I do every year. So, while we were in Los Angeles last week, we ended up celebrating it twice, once with my side of the family and another day with my husband’s family. On his actual birthday, we were back home in Nevada and it was Super Bowl Sunday. We were invited to our friend’s house and we ended up celebrating with them as well. The kids had a blast. And, then of course he had more celebration on Monday since I had to take his photos. Now I’m wondering if he’s going to expect a birthday or cake everyday.

I am going to eat this face! And, that curly hair, too! He’s so adorable, affectionate, loving, caring and playful. He loves soccer, loves dancing to Tooty Ta. Says “goodnight” when he’s ready to go to bed — holds my hand to walk up the stairs and straight into bed. And, loves giving kisses. Loves cake, cereal, pizza, and ice cream. And, lately, his favorite drink (thanks to my mom) has been chai latte. He loves his brother and sister so much — repeats their sayings and their every move. Loves his little bike and scooter and the playground swing and slide. He’s such a fun and cool kid. Love him sooo much!
