My Background
Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Public Administration. While I studied to become a teacher, my career took a different path and I worked as a finance analyst for 7 years before leaving the profession in 2012 when I became pregnant with Mason. Shortly before that and while working as an analyst full-time, I fulfilled my dream and attended cosmetology school and obtained a license in Esthetician and Makeup. I worked freelance in both fields simultaneously, servicing facials, eyebrow sculpting, and makeup application for five years.
About House of Mark
The "Mark" in House of Mark is short for my maiden name. In 2013, I began showcasing my creative side with custom handmade party decor by opening up a store on Etsy. Three years later, the House of Mark brand spread its wings, thus creating a website and blog. While the Etsy store is still up and running, this outlet here remains separate as my sanctuary space. I am happy to share and inspire you with my knowledge of everything from tips on beauty, style, DIY tutorials, home decor, to even sharing real life experiences and updates from my world as a wife, mommy and an entrepreneur.
