Secret Is Out

I have some big news that I’ve been looking forward to sharing with you. I couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that we’re expecting baby #2 due end of August! And, we are having a GIRL and couldn’t be any more excited!

It was a pretty good struggle finding out the gender with the legs being crossed at two different appointments. But, at the second trimester screening, it was finally confirmed. To be honest, I had a hunch it was a girl all along. But, in the end, what matters the most is the baby’s good health, regardless of boy or girl. I’m currently 22 weeks and feeling pretty good and very big (already) LOL. We can’t wait to meet and see this little princess! I will post pictures of everything…her room I’m working on, my growing belly and much more!

Hubby and I are over the moon grateful and SO happy to be expanding our little family. And, our 3-year-old boy, Mason, is incredibly excited to have a new sibling on the way. He’s been so involved with the entire pregnancy since day 1 and I love that he is aware of all the changes and so accepting and welcoming.

So, I use the Ovia App and every Sunday I bolt out of bed to find out “what size the baby is now” … this week it’s the size of a Corn on the Cob! Yum!

We have put off this post for a while, mostly because … I have a long history of pregnancy losses and high-risk conditions, so I wanted to share when I felt most comfortable and “safe”. That’s a whole different blog post though (maybe one day…soon).

Lastly, I want to say that I am SO thankful that we have been blessed with this miracle. I can’t WAIT to meet our little babe and keep you posted along the way!
